Healthy Bonds Family Therapy - "Healing and Strengthening Family Relationships"


This group, based on the work of Sylvia Margolin, is a 10-week, experiential counseling group for boys and girls in grades 1 through 6 who have experienced or are experiencing the divorce of their parents.

Children of Divorce, effects of divorce on children, how to protect children during a divorce, childhood trauma, child custody, divorce attorney, mediation, caring for children during divorce, child therapy, play therapy, sandtray therapyThis group will help your child to:

  • Identify feelings related to the divorce
  • Access healthy coping skills for managing their feelings
  • Eliminate stigma, guilt, shame, and self-blame for the divorce
  • Bolster self-esteem, confidence, and relationship skills

Groups Begin in February, 2016

Dr. Elizabeth Fisher is a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in interpersonal neurobiology and human attachment. Her experience includes work with families and children coping with addiction, trauma, mental illness, and multiple generations of family violence. Dr. Fisher utilizes a participatory model in her workshops, allowing all participants to get hands-on experience with the strategies they are learning.
