Healthy Bonds was established by Dr. Elizabeth Fisher, PhD, LMFT. Elizabeth was formerly the Bonding and Attachment Specialist serving Jackson County Community Family Court. Her doctoral research involved the treatment of domestic violence as it relates to attachment within a Ritualized Therapeutic Environment (TRE).
Elizabeth has worked extensively with special needs children and their families, individuals recovering from trauma, and those struggling with grief and loss issues. Sexual abuse and sexual concerns are a particular area of focus. Elizabeth is particularly experienced regarding the practical and psychological needs of couples and families struggling with serious mental disorders such as bipolar disorder, reactive attachment disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, psychosis, suicidality, and self-mutilation.
Elizabeth Fisher is licensed to
practice marriage and family therapy in California and Oregon. She also holds a doctoral degree in clinical psychology.
